FROSINONE CALCIO - CLUB HISTORY

Frosinone Calcio was officially founded on September 19, 1928. Building on a long-established tradition, the club has prominently featured in Serie B, earning its first historic promotion to Serie A in 2015, becoming the third most prestigious team in the region after S.S. Lazio and A.S. Roma.

The club's most successful period coincides with the presidency of Maurizio Stirpe, son of Benito (who was President in the '60s), taking over the club in 2003. The new stadium, "Benito Stirpe," is named after the current President's father and was inaugurated on September 28, 2017. It is one of only three Italian stadiums directly managed by a club (alongside Juventus' Allianz Stadium and Udinese's Dacia Arena).
